Excel, QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and 27ERP: what each one is, what ten users cost, what you can build on it, and what you still have to buy on top.
Excel is where most operations start, and where they get stuck: cheap to buy, expensive in hours, with nothing linking a quote to its order or invoice. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is accounting and inventory installed on your own network, Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho are CRMs, and NetSuite and SAP Business One are full ERPs priced and implemented for the mid-market. 27ERP is the flexible one: CRM, quoting, orders, inventory, purchasing and your website on one set of records, with the mobile apps, integrations and AI workflows your process needs built around it — scoped and quoted to your operation, with QuickBooks kept for the books.

Prices are public list prices or published estimates in US dollars as of October 2026, rounded, on annual billing where the vendor prices that way. Vendors change prices often and negotiate discounts, so confirm with each before you buy. Salesforce, HubSpot and Zoho CRM are CRMs — add an ERP and an accounting system to compare like for like. 27ERP is scoped and quoted per organization. All trademarks belong to their owners; 27nodes builds and operates 27ERP.

Who each one is for, and what to watch for
Every tool on this list is the right answer for someone. The question is what you'll still be doing in spreadsheets afterwards.
27ERP by 27nodes
ERP + CRM, built around you
Best for
B2B operators and nonprofits that want quoting, orders, inventory, purchasing and their website on one set of records — plus the mobile apps, integrations and AI workflows their process needs, built by the same team.
Watch for
It is not a general ledger: your accountant keeps QuickBooks, which 27ERP syncs with (QuickBooks Online today; a desktop connection is built to order).
Excel spreadsheets
Spreadsheets, on laptops or a shared drive
Best for
Getting started: a few people, a few hundred rows, and one person who understands the formulas.
Watch for
Versions multiply, nothing links a quote to its order or invoice, stock is only as current as the last person who typed it, and the file breaks when its author leaves.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Accounting + inventory, on your server
Best for
Companies that want accounting and inventory installed on their own network, with sales orders and advanced inventory on the higher editions.
Watch for
Desktop software: remote access needs hosting, there is no CRM, and every tier, user and payroll seat is an annual subscription that rose again in 2026.
Oracle NetSuite
ERP + accounting, cloud
Best for
Mid-market companies with several entities, a finance team and the budget for a partner-led rollout.
Watch for
Quote-only pricing, modules priced separately, and implementation commonly $25k–$75k+ for a small business.
SAP Business One
ERP + accounting, on-premise or cloud
Best for
Manufacturers and distributors that want a full ERP with accounting, on their own servers or hosted, from a certified partner.
Watch for
Sold and set up through partners; implementation estimates run about $30k–$120k, and on-premise adds servers and yearly maintenance.
Salesforce Sales Cloud
CRM, cloud
Best for
Sales teams that need a deeply customizable CRM and have an admin or partner to run it.
Watch for
A CRM only: inventory, purchasing and accounting need other systems, and add-ons and partners add up.
HubSpot Sales Hub
CRM + marketing, cloud
Best for
Marketing-led sales teams that want email, sequences and a CRM in one place.
Watch for
A CRM only, with automation gated to Professional and required onboarding fees on Professional and Enterprise.
Zoho CRM
CRM, cloud
Best for
Price-conscious teams that want a capable CRM and are happy to add more Zoho apps.
Watch for
Inventory and accounting are separate apps (Zoho Inventory, Zoho Books) that you connect and pay for.
When should a business move off Excel spreadsheets?
When the spreadsheet has become the system: several people editing copies of the same file, quotes retyped into orders and invoices, stock counts nobody trusts, and one person who is the only one who understands the formulas. Excel itself costs little — Microsoft 365 Business Standard is $14 per user a month — but the hours spent re-keying and reconciling are the real price.
How is 27ERP priced?
27ERP is scoped to your operation rather than sold off a per-seat price list: the modules you switch on, the people who use it, and any custom mobile apps, integrations or agentic workflows 27nodes builds for you are quoted together, up front, after a walkthrough on your own records.
How much does QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise cost for ten users?
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is an annual subscription priced by edition and user count. Published reseller pricing puts Silver at about $9,100 a year for ten users, roughly $760 a month, with Gold, Platinum and Diamond higher and payroll billed per employee on top — plus the server or hosting it runs on.
How much does NetSuite cost for a small business?
NetSuite is quote-only. Published estimates put the base license around $999 a month plus roughly $129–$199 per full user a month, so ten users land near $2,300–$3,000 a month before modules. Implementation for a small business is commonly $25,000–$75,000 or more on top.
Is Salesforce or HubSpot cheaper for ten users?
At list price they come out close: Salesforce Pro Suite is $100 per user a month and HubSpot Sales Hub Professional is about $100 per seat, so roughly $1,000 a month for ten people, and HubSpot adds a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee. Both are CRMs only — inventory, purchasing and accounting need other systems.
Does 27ERP replace QuickBooks?
It replaces the operational side QuickBooks was never built for — the CRM, quotes, sales orders, multi-location inventory, purchasing and your website. It does not keep a general ledger: your accountant stays in QuickBooks, and 27ERP sends it customers, items, invoices and payments.
